 Mitra was Lara Croft's live action actress. Mitra was the character as Lara Croft as Mitra. Angelina Jolie was cast in the role for the Tomb Raider movies (2001-2003). Mitra was no. 46 on Maxim Hot 100 Women of 2000. She played Christopher Lambert's love interest in Beowulf. Her first main role came as Scott Wolf's nefarious love interest on Party of Five. Mitra had a small role in Hollow Man, a film about a neighbor who gets raped and murdered by Kevin Bacon. Mitra played the lead role in the film as Alejandra Klein in the Gideon's Crossing's medical drama. Mitra was later seen in Ali G Indahouse, Sweet Home Alabama, Stuck on You, and leading roles in Highwaymen and Spartacus. Mitra was on the show's finale season of The Practice as Tara Wilson and continued in that character in the spin-off Boston Legal, but left just before the beginning of the season's second. Mitra was Kit McGraw in season 3 of Nip/Tuck 2005. Mitra was later part of Skinwalkers and The Number 23 as well as Shooter. Mitra also starred as Major Eden Sinclair in 2008's science action/fantasy movie Doomsday. Mitra, who is often misidentified as Caryn Parkerson in some databases, made her debut in Underworld Rise of the Lycans in 2009. In 2009, she played the role of Sonja, the fierce vampire elder Viktor. In the course of filming, she became in love with her vampire fangs even refusing to get rid of them when they couldn't be observed. "I put those fangs in the very first day. It was strange. They stayed in throughout the duration of filming, through all my dialogue and everything." Stargate Universe included three episodes featuring her.
