Harry Edward Styles (also known as Harry Styles in the music world) is an British composer and singer. Harry Styles was one among the founders of One Direction. He was born at Holmes Chapel (Cheshire), England the 1st of February, 1994. He is the son of Des Styles, and Anne Cox. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School where he created his own band, composed of three classmates, which he called White Eskimo. Following their victory in the Battle of Bands 2009 thanks to an excellent performance, the band also took part in 2010. Even though he had always expressed an interest in the music world, despite his passion in it, he also wanted to be a lawyer or an physiotherapist. In order to provide for the needs of his children, he spent a short time working part-time at a bakery. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition during which he performed the Stevie Wonder's song Is not She Lovely. Due to this, his band needed to be disbanded. Nicole Scherzinger, the jury member of The X Factor suggested Harry Styles join a band called One Direction with Liam Payne Zayn Mlik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to form the band in the year 2010. During the competition the band performed songs like My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler so the group was one of the contenders to win the contest. The group was placed in third spot just behind Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle which were the winners. Harry Styles was not the winner. Cowell was a millionaire in a contract for One Direction.
