Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor-Joy was born the 16th of April, 1996 at Miami Florida. It is daughter to Dennis Alan Taylor, a ex-bank executive, and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist is a half-Spanish and an English-speaking woman. Her father is an Argentinean of Scottish and English descent is also her mother. Her mother is of Spanish origin. Taylor-Joy has five siblings four from her father's prior marriage. The family resided within Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy aged 6 and then moved to Victoria district in London. Taylor-Joy believes that moving to London was traumatizing and she did not learn English to avoid moving back to Argentina. She had to switch schools between Northlands towards Hill House. Her next school was Queen's Gate School, where she was a dancer and also performed in productions. She dropped out of high school at 16 in order to concentrate on her acting profession. Taylor-Joy was a young actress and was sure she would eventually become an actor. Her dreams were realized after Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modelling job.
